Venue: Port Douglas Market

2018 is a big year, which sees Sophie touring Australia wide, staying as grass roots and tangible as possible, with a 6th European tour steadily being booked, combined with the release of 2 new records, and a possible 3rd album set to be recorded.

Thrilled to be headed to Northern Qld for a run of shows, including the Port Douglas Markets for both the 20th and the 27th May.

The first part of the year sees Sophie touring in support of the release of new lullaby, ‘Stilts on the Water’.  This is one of her last appearances before she heads off to Europe, on a 6th summer tour.  Thrilling electric violin, world folk at its’ finest, and music at its’ most raw, Sophie weaves through classical, experimental and folk inspirations.  Tailor Birds builds an audience that is as diverse as much as it is one, telling tales about love, loss, hopes, dreams, that anything is possible.  Connecting her people to something good again, in a world that is constantly changing, this is music to inspire, ignite the spirit, and challenge our inner most desires.

A beautiful local market that runs every Sunday right through the year, most stalls are ready to trade by 7.30am, and operate until around mid-afternoon.  With live looping, foley art, electric violin, vocals, and more, come down if you’re in the area.  Tailor Birds will play from 8am onwards.
